Your mom totally wants some chicky nuggies for Mother's Day
I don't think there's a single person out there who doesn't like chicken nuggets. Maybe there's some mom's out there who might get a little tired of making nuggets for the kids, but this time, it's mom's turn to get the nuggets.
KFC is going to give your mom some free chicken nuggets on Mother's Day. Starting May 10, customers who purchase the KFC Nuggets of Appreciation meal will receive 12 chicken nugget pieces for free. The limited-time deal will be available until Mother’s Day, May 14.

If your name is Kyle, then listen up! You are invited by the city of Kyle, TX to help break a world record next month. Anyone named Kyle -- spelled just like that is invited to the Gathering of the Kyles at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 21 at Lake Kyle Park to help break the world record for the largest same-name gathering. Kyle, Texas is just over an hour away from San Antonio by car.
All ages are welcome to the Kyle extravaganza, but there are a few other requirements participants will need to follow, including a verification process, shared below from city officials.

Metallica x Jimmy Kimmel
Lots and lots of Metallica is coming up. We're gearing up for May-tallica next month and the new Metallica album 72 Seasons drops Friday April 14th. To celebrate, Q102 will be playing 72 hours of Metallica starting on Friday. We'll play a Metallica song from each of their albums at the top of EVERY hour of the day. Then on Sunday April 16th, Metallica will have a show of their own at 6 pm on Q102 where they debut their new album for you.
But, we here at Q102 aren't the only ones celebrating Metallica...
It's Metallica week on the Jimmy Kimmel show and Metallica will be the house band on Monday, April 10th through Thursday, April 13th!

Kansas City NFL Draft Info
The NFL Draft is coming to Kansas City on April 27, 28 & 29. If you are planning on going, here's some information for you:
- The three-day event officially kicks off on Thursday, April 27. It will begin with prospects in attendance walking the NFL Draft Red Carpet. The event will begin around 4:45 p.m. on the Memorial Courtyard at the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
- The Draft Experience is free to all fans.
- For free entry to the Draft Experience, fans are required to register for NFL OnePass.
- Fans will be required to present proof of registration with NFL OnePass.
- Fans in the Draft Experience will be able to see the Theater stage from the North Lawn of the National WWI Museum & Memorial. The Draft will also be broadcast on multiple screens throughout the Draft Experience site.
- The Draft Theater is where prospects will be selected to their new teams and then introduced to the fanbase. General fan viewing is standing room only and will be on a first-come first-served basis on the North Lawn of the Museum and Memorial.
- Only invited ticket holders will be allowed inside the Draft Theater. Organizers say that as seats become available, fans will be selected for standing room and other seating depending on availability.
New requirement for Springfield Public Pools in 2023
The Springfield public pools will open on May 27th, but be aware that there is an important update. This year they'll require you to be registered with the Park Board for a digital ID. This is a new safety measure they're they're putting into place due to some issues that took place last year. This digital ID will include your name, parents names for minors, your photo and contact info.
You'll have to register on the park board website and those who do register will get a free pool pass for a day.

HARD PASS: Breakfast Ramen
OK - first of all, I would like to say that there was a time when I was in high school where I would eat ramen for breakfast. It was usually the chicken or beef flavor but now they've come out with "breakfast flavored" ramen. I'm not too sure what to think about this.

I believe is a highly underrated song. Actually, the whole album is underrated. A lot of fans were turned off by this album due to its industrial sound. I think it's a great album, still sounds like Danzig to me.

Boston Manor comes to us from the UK. They had pop punk roots but have recently adopted a synthy type of sound, which I am 100% here for. Their latest album, Datura was released in 2022, it's so worth checking out.

Hard Pass: Lab Created Mammoth Meatball
Not too long ago I talked about lab-created chicken and said that it's probably gonna be used as a ruse to feed us all Soylent Green, but now they're cultivating meat from an extinct mammoth.
An Australian company on Tuesday lifted the glass cloche on a meatball made of lab-grown cultured meat using the genetic sequence from the long-extinct pachyderm, saying it was meant to fire up public debate about the hi-tech treat.
Cultivated meat — also called cultured or cell-based meat — is made from animal cells. Livestock doesn’t need to be killed to produce it, which advocates say is better not just for the animals but also for the environment.
... used publicly available genetic information from the mammoth, filled missing parts with genetic data from its closest living relative, the African elephant, and inserted it into a sheep cell... Given the right conditions in a lab, the cells multiplied until there were enough to roll up into the meatball.
