New Interactive Cooling Center Map For Springfield!
The high temps in Greene County and the surrounding areas are a dangerous situation. The Springfield-Greene County Health Department has just created a cooling center map so you can find a cooling center location near you.
The cooling centers are open for all people who do not have access to air conditioning and will be open during the “Heat Advisory” Days.

Rammstein takes care of their vision impaired fans
I love Rammstein. I can't properly express my thoughts & feelings about this band. I've seen them twice, both times were completely different experiences and if you ever get the chance to see them - DO IT. Even if you're not a big fan. Go see Rammstein at least once in your life.
Ok, enough with the fan-girling.
We all know that Rammstein is a visual band. You've seen their videos. They spare no expense with it comes to production and the same goes for their stage production. Rammstein relies on the imagery to tell their stories, but what if you're a fan and you're visually impaired? How can you get the full Rammstein experience? Rammstein went above and beyond by inviting their visually impaired fans to join them for a guided tour of their stage in Sweden. They will also make this available for their American tour dates this fall. THIS IS SO EFFING RAD OF THEM!!!! Huge kudos, major brownie points, they get all the good juju for doing this.

HARD PASS: The Velveeta Martini
OK, look... I love cheese, who doesn't, right? But this has gone too far; and this isn't even real cheese!
Can Velveeta actually be mixed into a martini? Velveeta sure thinks so. And a steakhouse chain agreed enough to put it on their menu at $15 a pop.
Starting today, Velveeta has teamed up with the BLT Restaurant Group to release the Velveeta Veltini, billed as an "unapologetic, outrageously cheesy" spin on a martini. The cocktail will be served specifically between the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at five BLT-owned restaurants across the country, namely BLT Steak New York, BLT Steak Washington DC, BLT Steak Charlotte, and BLT Prime New York, as well as at their Italian concept The Florentine in Chicago.
The drink itself combines Velveeta-infused vodka (prepped by literally mixing Velveeta cheese sauce and vodka at least 24 hours before serving), olive brine, and vermouth into a martini glass which is then garnished with a cheese drip and a cocktail pick of Velveeta-stuffed olives and Jumbo Velveeta Shells & Cheese.

The Plastic Soul looks like your ordinary, modern fashionable sneaker, right? BUT.... they're made from recycled sex toys. Yup. That's what I said. This shoe is made from recycled sex toys.
The adult novelty company Doc Johnson has collaborated with the celebrity boutique brand ROSE IN GOOD FAITH to design the trendy shoes, which are made from defective sex toys. Defective, as in not actually used.
According to the announcement, the companies have "developed a unique recycling system" that grinds down the factory's defective rubbery male members "into millimeter-sized cubes of...thermoplastic elastomer. The cubes are then mixed with non-bleach EVA foam and injection molded into the shape of the Plastic Soul."
