If you HATE preparing your taxes, you are in luck! Drury’s accounting students are offering free tax prep!
Starting next week on February 3rd, the amazing accounting students at Drury will be providing free tax preparation through the university’s IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site. It’s open to the public and is designed to benefit low-income tax payers. This event will be held at the O’Reilly Enterprise Center (located near the intersection of Central Street and Drury Lane).
You can plan to stop by the tax prep event between 4 and 8 p.m. on the following dates:
- Monday, Feb. 3
- Thursday, Feb. 6
- Monday, Feb. 10
- Thursday, Feb. 13
- Monday, Feb. 17
- Thursday, Feb. 20
- Monday, Feb. 24
- Thursday, Feb. 27
- Monday, March 3
- Thursday, March 6
Drury students will also be participating in the Taxapalooza Community Event on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Springfield Dream Center (829 W. Atlantic St.). This event accepts walk-in clients, but appointments are not accepted.
