Back in 2001, Gavin Rossdale and Dave Parsons of Bush discussed the challenges surrounding the release of their album Golden State in the wake of 9/11.
The band faced unexpected changes due to the tragic events of that time. Their album cover, which featured a silhouette of a plane, had to be altered. Additionally, the lead single, originally titled “Speed Kills,” was renamed to “The People That We Love” to better align with the sensitivities of the moment.
Now, nearly 23 years later, Golden State will finally be released on vinyl—a treat for long-time fans. The vinyl is set to drop on October 4th.
